Do you like to read books? I love reading books!  I like the way they feel in my hands, the way they smell, and how they have transformed my life.

Of course, I am not talking about any kind of book. I’m talking about positive, inspirational books. I started reading inspirational books when I was 17 years old.  The first inspirational book that I read was Dale Carnegie’s book How to Win Friends & Influence People. It was sensational and eye-opening for me and helped me to completely change my life. I highly recommend that you pick up a copy and read it. Get it here.

Yes, you can!  It really works!

This is my favorite self-book book and author for many years. The author instructs you on how to improve your mindset, health, relationships, and circumstances by repeating positive affirmations every day. What is an affirmation? Why they are important? Positive affirmations are what you should think or say. Unfortunately, these days we focus more on negative things, not on positive things around us. It’s a great start to changing our mindset and habits. The more often we use positive affirmations in any situation, the faster we get to change or improve what we want!

I liked this book so much that I purchased all the other books that she suggested. She also has a lot of masterclasses which I join often. One of the phrases from this book is “Choose to listen to and follow the voice that encourages you to move in the direction of your dreams.” So true. Just tell yourself you can do it and then take little steps toward your dreams.

This is another self-help book with a step-by-step guide and includes a workbook to help you in every area of your life. Work on your good habits. “The habit of dreaming is so important in becoming unstoppable.” ~Cayla Craft. She wants you to dream big and then do the work to make your dreams come true. There should be no limits to dreams and possibilities. You can finish reading this book in a couple of days, but it can change your life for years.

I like Jack Canfield very much. In this book, he explains how you got to where you are and how to get to where you want to be.  If you want to control your life and change your future, read this book. This giant book will teach you how to be confident and how to deal with daily challenges and you will learn and understand 67 timeless principles and practices used by the world’s most successful men and women. If you regularly practice these principles, they will transform your life for sure.

I would be shocked if you haven’t heard of this book before! It is very popular because it has helped many people. The author teaches you how to attain your goals by aligning yourself to the seven basic principles that highly effective people use. What are these 7 habits? The first one is “Be proactive”.  You will need to read the book to find out the other six. Get it here.

You can teach these principles to kids too. Pay attention moms! My kids love this book.

Author: Eckhart Tolle

 

Eckhart Tolle is a spiritual teacher and author of The Power of Now. It’s worth the time to read this book. Many of us usually focus on the past or future and completely forget about the present moment. The author tries to get you to focus on the present and your present circumstances for you to make the necessary changes to improve your life. This was a new author for me with a new and different way to change your life.  In this book, the author describes how he changed his life after a devastating injury on the baseball field.  By consistently taking little steps toward his goal and constantly repeating good habits, he was able to change his life for the better.  In the end, replacing bad habits with good habits and consistently taking little steps toward your goal is better than taking no steps and having no improvement in your life at all.  Get it here.

Do you have negative feelings?  Feel like you are not good enough?  Need some help with stress?  Simple, read this easy-to-understand book! 

Before I found this book, I listed several ways to be calm and reduce stress in a different postonf my blog.  I am happy that some of my suggestions matched up with what the author of this book describes!
